Regional and Thematic Archive Surveys

Every year the Business Archives Surveying Officer for Scotland undertakes proactive surveying of archives that can be grouped by a geographical area, or a specific industry which reflects the Scottish economy, past or present. Thematic surveys enable us to build a picture of what records are held privately that may be of local and/or national importance, and to offer advice on their long-term preservation.
